In response to market demands created mainly by Iranian cargo Exporters / Importers, Traders, presence a national fleet in the Caspian Sea for Sea borne commodity transportation was imminent, thus the Khazar Sea Shipping Lines was established in the Caspian Sea at the beginning of 1992 to cater for such demands in the Region and possibly beyond.

Today Khazar Sea Shipping Lines owns and operates sixteen (22) General Cargo vessels with average fleet age of 14 years, which are equipped to carry general cargo, containers, Bulk & Solid Bulk Cargo.

Khazar Sea Shipping Lines covers a good number of ports in Caspian Sea regional countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan as well as all Iranian Northern ports and guarantee the safe delivery of goods to cargo owners with utmost good faith/diligence.

Based on different contracts with relevant regional authorities, KSSL motivates / adopts multimodal, Door to Door cargo transportation through a route internationally recognized as the “North – South” Transit Corridor.

The contract of carriage, the bill of lading and all disputes arising there under or in connection therewith, shall be governed by Iranian & International laws, in particular by the Hague Rules, dated Brussels 25th Agust,1924.

The company is market orientated, and has its fleet vessels all classed with renowned members of the International Association of Classification Society (IACS) .

Possessing a team composed of qualified experts, the company is certified in the field of International Safety Management system (I.S.M CODE) as well as Quality standard ISO 9001 – 2008.
